The profit boost from 'Linsanity'

Jeremy Lin is a 23-year-old guard who was recruited by no major college teams.
He went undrafted after graduating from Harvard with a degree in economics. He kept was being cut by teams as recently as December. Then, the New York Knicks picked him up to fill out their roster after some star players went down with injuries.
And that ushered in "Linsanity."
Jeremy Lin has stolen the spotlight away from the big name players like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant by scoring buckets of points, and almost-singlehandedly leading the Knicks to victory over and over again.
Now, in today's Mid-day Extra: Jeremy Lin and how his success has already gone global.
To explain is Adam Minter, Shanghai correspondent for the Bloomberg World View.
According to him, it isn't just Lin jerseys -- which by the way, didn't exist a month ago -- that have been raking in the profits. Lin's winning streak has also captured a huge interest in China, who has been looking for a new NBA favorite since Yao Ming retired last year.
