Now boarding: passengers holding ads

Richard Core Jul 15, 2008

Advertisers have found yet another open space — and a client definitely in need of cash — to push their products: the airline boarding pass. The ads will appear on passes customers print at home.
Sojern Inc., which is selling the ads, said Delta Air Lines Inc. would begin using the ads on Tuesday for flights to Las Vegas and on all other domestic destinations soon afterward. American Airlines, Northwest Airlines, US Airways, Continental Airlines, and United Airlines have also signed up, Sojern said.
