In which Goldman Sachs screws up

Goldman Sachs headquarters.

Goldman Sachs has proven itself to be... well, you decide:

Sexist?

Out of touch?

Insensitive?

Stupid, maybe?

Goldman was the biggest sponsor of an event at Harvard last weekend, for women interested in computer science.

Included in some of the Goldman-branded swag?

Cosmetics mirrors and nail files.

Goldman has, of course, apologized.

As a woman who came of age during the early days of feminism, and who can be hyper-sensitive to sexist slights, I really don't think this is so terrible. It would be if these were the only items given to the women while men were given items more relevant to the topic --- but it doesn't sound like that's the case. I guess one would hope they gave the men breath mints and pocket combs....
