The New York Times works around website outage
A man speaks on his mobile phone across from The New York Times headquarters building April 21, 2011 in New York City.
This final note today. The New York Times may publish all the news that's fit to print. But man, that wasn't happening on its website today.
Readers, don't fret. If http://t.co/J1T79tODM5 remains down, we are ready to tweet op-eds and editorials in 140-character increments.

Thankfully it didn't come to that. The Times apologized to its subscribers, saying a maintenance update was probably to blame.
In the future, just to be safe, you could also just buy the thing on paper.
