Kraft says gum sales are struggling

This final note today, an economic indicator courtesy of Kraft.

Here's a quote from the food conglomerate's latest earnings report. "Gum," it says, "continues to be weak. Sales growth has slowed in developing countries," and it goes on, "gum is unlikely to return to historical growth rates in the near term."

Hey never let it be said we don't cover the whole economy.
