Your take on the week was something that I never missed ever since I discovered marketplace. It was one of the reasons that I looked forward to every friday. Thank you for giving us hope when the going was tough, cautioning us when we were euphoric and enlightening us when we were confused.
David Johnson has been the financial highlight of my week for several years. I actually plan to be near a radio to be able to hear him on Friday evenings. David's style reminds me of Louis Rukeyser, whom I long admired before his departure and death. While David will be sorely missed, I wish him well.
It is like a passing flame to hear David is leaving. I hope he can be a guest commentator in the future. I thought Friday and David were fused in my head as a time and place for me to listen to Marketplace. I hope some sort of resolution can be announced as to where David's future may lie. All the best David.
I could hardly believe my ears when I heard David Johnson's last day was TODAY on Marketplace--without even a hint of his departure before now! I truly looked forward to each Friday edition of this terrific show just to hear him give his humorous and insightful view of the market. Even if someone else takes his 'spot', he can't be replaced. Thanks, David. You'll be missed.
