Wow, a republican comes out and defends Obama's auto bail out!? Has he made his way onto Fox News yet??

I actually haven't listened to this show yet, but I heard Steve I. guffaw during the Detroit auto show segment on Morning Edition. Anybody remember Stewart Mott, the auto scion/heir (was it American Motors or Checker?)- who was a significant bankroller of the McGovern campaign? Wow, am I a classic or what? Whatta ride!

Will GM convince me to buy another Chevy? I don't think so. I have a 1997 Tahoe and I love it...too bad it's a piece of crap. GM got the design right, got the power right, and then fell asleep at the wheel for quality. The current price tag on the Tahoe makes it pretty clear they did not see the rural market as its consumer. Well, I hope they're happy with their urban tank purchasers - you know, that market that WAS flush enough that they didn't mind buying a new tank every 5 years or so.
