One of the big election issues this year is government regulation of business. A lot of new rules have been added since the financial crisis four years ago. How do your fellow Americans feel about it?

According to Gallup's editor-in-chief, Frank Newport, the question has been asked by the polling firm for over ten years now. The percentage of people who view it as too much regulation over business and industry jumped when the Obama administration came to power -- and it's stayed up.

At last look, 47 percent of Americans think there is too much regulation of businesses. The peak hit 50 percent last year.
