Universities and their surrounding communities often have a hard time maintaining warm relationships. To improve "town-gown" contacts, schools often let the community experience their scholarship through lectures and night classes. But several universities are turning that equation around-and trying to learn more from their surrounding communities. As Larry Schooler reports from Austin, it's an experiment with an uncertain outcome.

Zimbabwe land reform

When Zimbabwe launched its land reform efforts five years ago, the media focused much of its attention on the white farmers who were targeted for removal. But it's not just farm owners who've fled the country. Gretchen Wilson reports that as Zimbabwe's economy has collapsed, its farm workers have found that leaving the country is one of the only ways left to survive.
