Twitter translating Egyptian tweets

A man looks at a laptop computer displaying Twitter in a cafe on January 27, 2011 in Cairo, Egypt.

Earlier this week, Twitter quietly launched a translation service, translating tweets in Spanish, Italian and German.

Today, given what's happening in Egypt, it rolled out that translation service for the tweets of about 100 prominent Egyptians into English.

So you can read the tweets from people like Mohamed Morsi -- now no longer the leader of Egypt.
