Obi-Wan Kenobi 2012: 'Our Only Hope'
While driving north on the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu, Calif., this weekend we captured this offbeat political bumper sticker promoting the imaginary campaign of one Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The fictitious candidate is the brainchild of Kari Ann Kelly, a graphic designer in Suwanee, Georgia, who sells the bumper stickers through her online Etsy storefront. Among Kelly's other campaign stickers inspired by "Star Wars" characters: "Han Solo 2012: A Straight Shooter for President;" "Skywalker2012: The Force is strong with this one;" and "Help You I Can: Yoda 2012."
Ronald Reagan 2012: It's Morning in America Again
This offbeat election sign captured by Kai Ryssdal with his iPhone camera while on the reporting trail in Helena, Montana, reads "Ronald Reagan for President 2012: Its Morning in America Again." (make that "It's Morning in America" with apostrophe).
The hand-made sign captures the election mood in Montana, where Republican nominee Mitt Romney is leading in the polls. If you want to see some real Reagan election posters, go here.
