North Carolina’s "Bathroom Bill" appears headed for the toilet
North Carolina’s HB2, appears to be on the way out. The bill requires transgender people to use restrooms corresponding to the sex on their drivers liscense in many public buildings.
They are also not protected under antidiscrimination protections. The ordinance that led to the creation of the bill was repealed today in Charlotte.
Since HB2 bill was passed in March, entertainers, corporations and sports teams have canceled events and staged protests. The state has lost millions of dollars in revenue, and small businesses that depend on these events have beeen hit hard.
