That clears millions of dollars directed towards health care and loans for fixing infrastructure. The problem? Flint, Michigan actually needs an estimated $13 billion in water infrastructure repairs over the next 20 years. And while the public has acknowledged in polls that more funding is needed, fewer say that they would be willing to pay higher taxes in water bills to accomplish what’s necessary.
