The ties between China and Hollywood keep getting tighter and tighter. There are reports that the Chinese real-estate and entertainment conglomerate Dalian Wanda is nearing a deal to buy a majority stake in Legendary Entertainment, the company responsible for “Jurassic World,” the recent “Godzilla” remake, and “The Dark Knight” among others. If the deal goes through, it’ll be a big step towards China’s goal to become a leader in global entertainment. Marketplace’s Adriene Hill explains.
