NFL gets a warning from sponsor Anheuser-Busch

This may turn out to be an ‘uh oh’ moment for the National Football League amid its current difficulties.

AnheuserBusch – which is in the middle of a six year, $1.2 billion sponsorship deal with the league – issued a statement earlier today on the events that have transpired outside of the football field.

We are disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season. We are not yet satisfied with the league’s handling of behaviors that so clearly go against our own company culture and moral code. We have shared our concerns and expectations with the league.”
