New York City has many tech hubs, but most revolve around the big money in downtown Manhattan. Now Harlem wants a piece of the action. There’s a new co-working space there called Harlem Garage. Marketplace Tech Report host Ben Johnson headed uptown recently to get a tour of the spot, which opens officially in a few days. Ben was shown around by Ryan Young, who works for MicroOffice, the company that manages the space, as well as Clayton Banks and Bruce Lincoln of Silicon Harlem.

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.

You rely on Marketplace to break down the world’s events and tell you how it affects you in a fact-based, approachable way. We rely on your financial support to keep making that possible.

Your donation today powers the independent journalism that you rely on. For just $5/month, you can help sustain Marketplace so we can keep reporting on the things that matter to you.
