You’ve heard of Google X Labs in California, where self-driving cars and other cutting edge tech are being developed. Google Ideas is a sibling think tank in New York. The organization released several new tools this week, all designed to deliver online access where it might be hard to get.

Google Ideas also came out with a Denial of Service attack map. It’s like a weather map showing where hackers might be trying to bring down websites around the globe.

Sam Gustin, reporter for Time Magazine, tells Marketplace Tech about Google Ideas’ innovations, including one that particularly impressed him — something called Uproxy.
