This final note today, just to tee you up for Mitt Romney’s acceptance speech tonight. If you’re on Twitter, go ahead and search for the hashtag #BelieveInAmerica. It’ll have a little ‘promoted’ arrow next to it. Promoted as in paid for. By whom, you ask?

That’d be #RomneyRyan2012, of course. It’s the first time a campaign’s paid to have something trend — that is, win Twitter’s internal popularity contest. Which is kind of a big deal. In Twitter-land.
