Lady Gaga has a social network. Of course.

John Moe Jul 10, 2012

In our ongoing series, One Billion Social Networks, the latest installment comes from Lady Gaga (in case you don’t know, she’s what would happen if David Bowie and Madonna had a child who never got any attention as a child). Business Insider, chillingly, tells us that littlemonsters.com is likely one of the first in an impending series of social networks focused around individual artists. Personally, I cannot WAIT for a Foghat social network. Foolforthecity.com?

Anyway, sounds like nothing special:

Littlemonsters is sort of a cross between Pinterest and a classic old-fashioned bulletin board, where you can post a topic and have a discussion. But it’s all Gaga all the time.

There are also lots of chances to buy concert tickets.

Shouldn’t they have called it Pokerfacebook? an>The idea here, as we’ve talked about many times on our show, is that if Verizon has more spectrum than everybody else, they become the dominant carrier and can set whatever rates and practices they want. The spectrum being bought may have been used for cable companies to also be wireless carriers one day but the purchase would pre-empt that.
