Hints of Mac with retina display

John Moe Jun 8, 2012

Apple holds its annual Worldwide Developers Conference next week and while there won’t be any new iPhones or iPads premiering, there is nonetheless a lot of excitement in tech circles, since Apple is our overlords. Today, there are new clues that at least some Macs are likely to receive retina display screens, that thing on the latest iPads and iPhones that make the screen have higher resolution than the human eye can even perceive. The Mac utility app FolderWatch has a new version that boasts retina display.

Over at Wired, there are predictions for an Apple Maps alternative to Google Maps, possibly with 3D mapping (which I guess people must want), and a heavy emphasis on the Apple TV peripheral. Apple TV might even get its own app store. Because everything has to have an app store.
