When you’re motivated, you can achieve anything. Case in point: 10-year-old Richard Chapel from Granger, Ind., wanted to replace the broken baskball hoop in his yard, so he asked his dad for odd jobs around the house to earn the money. After a whole summer of mowing lawns, he’s saved $250 and bought the hoop. But the savings lesson stuck, and he just kept on saving. He now has $500 in the bank and is deciding what his next big purchase will be.

Great job, Richard! A piggy bank to help you with your saving is on it’s way.
