Final Note

Harold Camping apologizes for end-of-world predictions

Kai Ryssdal Mar 9, 2012

This final note today, turns out the world’s not going to end. Remember Harold Camping, the preacher who predicted the end of the world last year — and a couple of times before that — spending millions to get the word out?

Yeah, he was wrong. Camping said yesterday — and this is a quote — “we realize that many people are hoping they will know the date of Christ’s return. We humbly acknowledge we were wrong about the timing.”

And, Camping said, he’s not interested in considering any future dates for the rapture.
