NASA in the market for some good eaters

Adriene Hill Feb 22, 2012

Looking for work? NASA is in the market for some good eaters.

The agency wants to figure out how it would feed astronauts on any future mission to Mars, so it needs people to try to cook and eat astronaut food for four long months.

It’s not going to be astronaut ice cream and Tang all the time. Among other things, NASA wants to figure out how to keep future explorers from getting “menu fatigue.” And to build a cookbook for future crews.

The job requirements include: A bachelors degree, an interest in space exploration… And of course, the willingness to eat pretty much anything.
