Final Note

It’s true: A White Castle Valentine’s Day dinner

Kai Ryssdal Feb 14, 2012

This final note today on the costs of Valentine’s Day. As you know, love ain’t cheap. A dozen roses: $75. Box of chocolates: $10 and up.

Or, for something completely different, 83 cents gets you a White Castle burger. And lest you think I have no romance in me at all, they’re doing Valentine’s Day in style this year.

Mike Kaszubski: Tablecloths over on the tables, we’ll have candles, we’ll have flowers.

That’s Mike Kaszubski, manager of a White Castle in Chicago. And he’s gonna be a busy man.

Kaszubski: Every single one of my tables is reserved for tonight, and I even actually extended my hours a little bit.

I frankly don’t know what to say about that.
