It’s a match made in technology heaven: Who knows your driving habits better than your car’s navigation system? And who cares about your driving habits more than your car insurance company? It’s The inevitable relationship has finally been consummated in the U.K. by TomTom (which makes nav units) and the insurer Motaquote – but an idea this obvious can’t likely be contained for long once it’s been set free. Of course, the arrangement promises rewards for “safe” drivers, and for now it’s the kind of thing you opt into. The system also promises to warn you in real-time when you’re driving like a jerk/idiot/tired person. Sounds like fun.
