Zite comes to the iPhone

John Moe Dec 12, 2011

Apparently late 2011 is The Era of Quasi-Magaziney Apps on iPhones. Last week we told you about Flipboard, the popular iPad news/social app, coming to iPhone and iPod Touch (yes yes, must never forget iPod Touch). Now Zite is doing the same thing. Zite was bought by CNN in August but operates independently. Like Flipboard, it syncs with Twitter. Unlike Flipboard, it doesn’t sync with Facebook (!) but does so with Google Reader (!!). The style is more spartan than Flipboard, which makes it somewhat easier to scroll through but perhaps not as slick.
