The iOS fix is in. Well, sort of.

John Moe Nov 11, 2011

Apple released an operating system update last night, which claims to fix a couple problems people have been complaining about since it came out a few weeks ago – mainly the battery life and a security flaw with apps. Slashgear reports that some people are still experiencing battery drain issues, but it’s probably a little too early to say whether this is a widespread problem. The update marks the first implementation of Apple’s over the air updates. Prior to last night, you had to connect your device to iTunes and download the software. Now you can stay current wherever you have WiFi. If you have an iPhone, iPad, or Touch and want to update it, go to Settings -> General -> Software Update. Just make sure you have at least 50% battery life, otherwise the download won’t start. The rest is magic.
