The Punchline

We want ‘The Help,’ not ‘The Debt’

Jeremy Hobson Sep 5, 2011

This final note today from the core of the debate countries all across the world
are in the midst of right now. Which is a bigger issue? Creating jobs or reducing debt?

Well, at the box office this weekend Americans had a clear answer. The number one movie for the third week in a row was a film called “The Help.” If you haven’t yet seen it, it’s the one about black maids in the segregated South.

And you know what came in second place? An espionage thriller called “The Debt.”

“The Help” beat “The Debt.” Just sayin’, it’s kinda weird.
