This is the guy who allegedly hacked into 500,000 Facebook accounts. Sanford Wallace surrendered to the FBI in California. He developed a program that circumvented Facebook spam and privacy filters. The program would post messages on users' walls that appeared to be from their friends. The messages urge the user to visit a particular website and once there, the data harvesting begins. Classic phishing scam, of course, but likely a much higher rate of return given that the message appears to originate from a trusted source. Wallace faces up to 10 years in jail but he posted bail with money he stole from people.
