It’s true: Listening to the radio can make you happier

Bob Moon Jun 29, 2011

A final note. What makes you happier? Watching a good TV show? Or how about surfing the Web? Or, just maybe, a good radio broadcast?

From Great Britain comes a study which finds people who listen to the radio report a 100 percent lift in happiness — and a 300 percent boost to their energy levels — versus not consuming any type of media at all. They also get a lift watching TV or being online, but nowhere near as much as the effect they say radio has on their outlook and well-being.

OK, I guess it’s worth noting — but so what — if the survey was commissioned by Britain’s Radio Advertising Bureau.
