Blekko releases Zorro to go after Spam-o

John Moe Jun 22, 2011

It’s hard carving a niche for yourself in the search world. Everybody is so busy googling, it’s hard to get them to notice you. But, Blekko has a plan to make itself known as the no spam site.

From SearchEngineLand:

The Zorro update means that slashtag-related results will now automatically appear at or near the top of a wide range of SERPs. [search engine results page]
According to Skrenta [Blekko CEO] these categories are now essentially spam-free because humans have identified high quality sites and Blekko has marginalized or entirely blocked spam and low-quality content (e.g., eHow) from results.
