Strikeout: Bud Selig rejects Dodgers TV deal

Kai Ryssdal Jun 20, 2011

Soon to be for sale — the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig has rejected a $3 billion TV deal between Fox Sports and Dodger owner Frank McCourt. If you’ve been following the sad story of the boys in blue — and the divorce that team owners Frank and Jamie McCourt have been going through — you know this pretty much means the team will be up for sale by the end of the summer.

McCourt and his wife have been accused of taking hundreds of millions of dollars out of the team and using it for their own lavish lifestyles. The Dodgers, meanwhile, are seven and a half back in the NL West.
