Tess Vigeland: And finally to this week’s Marketplace Money Piggy Award. Our little blue plastic friend is heading to Calleen, Texas, and listener Trey Moody. He heard our Memorial weekend interview about financial readiness for members of the military, and he wrote us to say that it’s not just young service members who need help with financial education. It’s also non-commissioned officers and other leaders whose soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines turn to if they’re in money trouble. Mr. Moody is doing his part in that effort. He volunteers with ACS: army community service, teaching budget and finance classes to army service members. For that, we bestow upon him, the Marketplace Money piggy award.
