Zuckerberg thinks kids under 13 should be able to use Facebook

John Moe May 24, 2011

It was just a couple of days ago that Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) was hammering at Mark Zuckerberg, saying that Zuckerberg lacked values and demanding that he prove that kids under 13 can’t get on Facebook. Turns out, the Facebook founder thinks they should, and said so at a recent event. The age limit is in place because of a law already on the books, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act but Zuckerberg thinks younger kids could benefit from being connected on a social network. And he said he’s willing to be part of a campaign to change the law.
