Blumenthal sends letter of concern about Epsilon data breach

John Moe Apr 7, 2011

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) sent Attorney General Eric Holder a letter asking for an investigation into the Epsilon data breach that resulted in millions of email addresses being stolen from companies like Target, Best Buy, J.P. Morgan Chase and more. He said “Literally millions of consumers are now going to be at risk for phishing and potential identity theft as a result of the breach of security concerning Epsilon,” he said. “I’d like to emphasize to you now how concerning I believe this breach is.” It’s also looking likely that Congress will hold a hearing about this data breach.
