Pocket Hipster is handy, annoying

John Moe Feb 25, 2011

O technology, what hast thou wrought. Pocket Hipster is an app that mocks your current music and then suggests new music. It features your choice of male or female hipster. You select some of the music in your unhip library and the hipster will complain about it (“I feel violated” is one of the milder insults). Hipster then points out new bands and artists you might like based on your current bands. So it’s out with the Eagles and in with Smith Westerns. At least until EVERYBODY starts listening to Smith Westerns, at which point they won’t be hip any more.

Best of all, because it’s an app, the Pocket Hipster is easy to shut up and make go away, unlike actual hipsters!
