Disney acquires Togetherville

John Moe Feb 24, 2011

Get ’em young! Kids who are not yet old enough to come by social networking in a traditional way have options beyond Facebook. And now Disney has locked one of those options down, purchasing the kids social networking site Togetherville. It mimics the Facebook experience but is less feature rich and heavy on parental observation, if parents care to actually pay attention to it. Kids can connect through school networks. Friending people is a bit more involved and it requires parental approval.
