Boat show becomes casualty of economy

This final note today, an observation that our story yesterday about high-end retail doing pretty well in a still fragile economy has some limits. We learned today the 2011 Washington D.C. boat show scheduled for this weekend has been postponed until 2012.

A notice on their website says neither marine dealers’ interests nor the boating public’s enjoyment would be furthered by producing a show in the current economic climate.
