WTF: the Wikileaks Task Force at the CIA

John Moe Dec 22, 2010

Yes, that’s what they’re really calling it. Works out since it’s both the acronym of the name of the task force and what CIA employees are saying about Wikileaks. It’s a group that’s trying to figure out the larger intelligence implications of the latest batch of Wikileaks documents. One issue they’re investigating is whether Wikileaks hurts the CIA’s ability to recruit new sources or whether those sources will worry that the US government can’t keep secrets. Very few of the recent cables touched on the CIA but the agency wants to be prepared in case there’s more.
