Best of the Best of Year Lists for 2010

Steve Henn Dec 15, 2010

Okay, so Facebook co-founder Marc Zuckerberg is Time Magazine’s Person of the Year. What more is there to say? But if you are really into “of the year stories” the next couple weeks should be web-surfing heaven.

Already we have the “Most Powerful Tweets of the Year,”

not to be confused with “Twitter Trends of the Year”

or “Facebook Memes of the Year”

or Youtube’s videos of the year

or the 10 most re-tweeted tweets of the year.

Then of course there’s CNet’s Best Video Games of year

the best toys of year

and the best flying toys of the year

I still haven’t found a really good Best Gadget of Year list but I’m still looking (though we did post a top 10 gadget list of our own earlier this week). So send me you favorite tech-themed “of the year” list and we will post it.

And really what end of the year story is complete without an end of the year poll? If enough of you send me your lists I’ll get the web mavens here at Marketplace to build us a one. Then we’ll all be able vote for our favorites. And who knows, with some luck we could even publish our own definitive ranking of the best end of the year lists of 2010 on the first day of 2011.
