Google begins rolling out multi-account sign-in

John Moe Aug 4, 2010

It’s only in the very early roll-out stages of implementation but Google is beginning to allow multiple accounts to be logged on at the same time. So you won’t have to go through the pain in the neck process of logging out of one account then logging in to another. Lots of reasons why they’re doing this, not the least of which hopefully is that Microsoft’s Exchange Server has allowed this since forever. But perhaps the most compelling reason is that Google is really turning its attention hard toward the workplace and trying to take on/down Microsoft’s dominance there. You wouldn’t want to be at work with a tab open for your personal Gmail account and then have to shut it down just to check your work email on your new Google-based work system.
