Information for Louisiana oil spill volunteers

Aaron Viles of the Gulf Restoration Network put up a quick blog post for people interested in volunteering at the BP oil spill in Louisiana. Check it out. If you’re thinking about heading down there, Viles advises the following:

Please don’t come down without a plan and training. Our partner organization the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana is pre-registering interested volunteers, with the intention of directing people to the volunteer opportunities as they are scaled up. The registration site is not up yet, but will be soon:
