When piggy banks fly

Scott Jagow May 12, 2009

We’re broke. Let’s fix it. That’s the catch phrase for a new project called Indebted from MTV U and the Peter G. Peterson Foundation. The goal is to get college students to think more carefully about their debt burden. And apparently, one way to do that is to offer a highly-addictive video game about a pig on water skis.

You can play the game here. It’s actually pretty fun. I don’t know how much education a piggy bank on water skis actually provides a college student. But I will say, watch out for the parachuting iPods and laptops. They’ll drain your budget pretty fast.

Each week for the next few weeks, one Debt Ski player will win $250 to put toward their debt or to spend recklessly. I don’t know if you have to be a student to win.

Read more about all that here.
